He had 35 and 11 dimes with 6 three pointers. I said it all along...he’s a star in the making and as close to Curry as we will likely ever see. Trae is a befitting name.

And the most important stat is that the Hawks won the game. Having a point that can shoot the three is an enormous advantage in that teams can't play zone against you. That was the kind of PG I was hoping we would get. That is what we need. Guys who can shoot the three enough to keep defenses honest against us. Good for Trae and the Hawks. That franchise needed to win the Doncic trade and they just may have although Doncic is playing real well too.

I've been a believer of Trae Young. Mostly because I hate the media.

Heck of a game by Trae, but I think there's some ugly games coming. I think Doncic is going to be the much better player and at a much more important position imo

I watched that game and Trae was a spectacular ball-handler, able to get wherever he needed with the ball to shoot or pass. He's definitely the real deal.

Doncic > Young the other night on national tv. Well, at least in the first half.
And dang DJ. FT liability for pretty much all nine years with the Clips then go start hitting 85% with Dallas? Thanks a lot, dude.

Thanks a lot, dude. Can you post more thoughts on the Hawks-Mavs game? I had thought about watching it, or even DVRing it, but didn't. What did you think about both teams, as well as Doncic and Young?

just watched intermittently and wasn't clued to the screen. Dallas was up by twenty early and ATL showed some heart coming back to win. Good to see our boy, DJ, but he blew an easy dunk late that probably lost the game for em (tried to thunder it and it bounced off the rim out of bounds).
Like both Trae and Doncic's games. Young has that creative spirit of a Nash who is his hero, but his shot selection and accuracy must improve and he likely going to be bald so may want to chop that fuzzy hive. Doncic is polished due to his time as a pro and also needs to work on shot consistency. He had a couple deceptively quick head-down moves to the rack. Needs to watch his weight in the future and his hairstyle isn't as good as he thinks it is and may need some mentor-ship from Dirk in that area.
Don't really think either will be HOFers or anything. Maybe an All Star season one or two years in their entire careers at best, but nothing perennial or super-special. They aren't anywhere close, nor have the potential to be a Steph or Dirk.
