Woj: Clippers expected to go back to Sixers soon with new trade offerWoj: "Daryl Morey's motivation is what ever he gets from the Clippers, he wants to be able to flip that for another All-Star level guard that he could replace James Harden with... This thing may be slow going well into the season." If our assets are good enough to flip for an All-Star level guard, maybe we should be looking at that guard instead of Harden.

Or maybe our assets themselves!

The only guy I've seen mentioned is Zach Levine. And if you can get Zach Levine for Mann, Expiring Contracts and two picks...why wouldn't we just do that ourselves? I am not a huge fan of Zach, but I like him better than I like Harden. And as a SG, he'd fit better with Westbrook on our team than Harden would.

Why is Morey so hung up on Mann?

Why is Morey so hung up on Mann? Sounds like they have a trade already worked out for a 1st round pick for him. I wonder if they asked the Clippers for 2 1sts instead of Mann or if they just prefer the pick from the other team they can get more. I don't know who's going to cave first, but I don't see Frank giving up Mann if he hasn't to this point. I don't think they want young talent they can't redirect for more assets. I actually am not sure why they wouldn't rather keep Mann over trading him for a pick unless there's another player they feel like they can get with that pick. Boston and Kobe must not have enough value. Not sure about Bones, and the way we're hyping him I'm not sure if we're even looking to trade him.

Why is Morey so hung up on Mann? He was the Clippers 2nd most productive player last season and has 2 years left on a value contract. His TS% is like Kawhi, he rebounds like Westbrook, passes better than RJax, and doesn't turn the ball over.

Who do they think they are??!!!

Two weeks ago I was listening to Termine & Johnson and both argued that the Clippers should do what it takes to make this trade for Harden happen. While their window is open, and to shore up against injuries, etc. Then Eddie Johnson asks Justin if his team, the Celtics, should trade for Harden. Justin is like, no, we don't want him on our team. What about your team the Suns, Eddie? Eddie is like, not on my team, nope.
Good enough for thee but not for me.
Today they're saying that Morey must not want to do a trade because any two teams that are this close in terms would get the deal done, but Morey is now widening the gap with his rhetoric.

At what point does Philly ownership or Elton Brand step in and tell Morey to stop messing around? Harden is actively working against his own team and it will be a huge distraction.

These negotiations are truly bizarre at this point.
