Clips down by 10 now, 43-33. Minny making threes and layups, Clips missing everything. My hope for more than one Clipper star playing well at the same time has not been realized.

Minnesota looks steady and doesn't get rattled.
Clippers aren't getting rattled either.

Very impressive from Minnesota. They're just outplaying us. One thing I've noticed is the good defenses can start to dictate where the ball is going for us and who they want to be making the plays. Sometimes we don't have a great counter for it.

Not sure why we are favored by so much against such a good team, with both teams fighting for the same #1 standings slot dependent on the results of this game? This game is going to be a dogfight. Anyone having an off game will have that amplified. Probably a combination of home court advantage and the fact that Minnesota is 6-4 in their last 10 games, having lost 4 to weaker teams like Charlotte, San Antonio, Orlando and Chicago. However, I also note that in that stretch they beat OKC, Dallas and Milwaukee… I would put Orlando in the same category as you did Dallas. Dallas has the 13th best record in the league, Orlando the 14th.
Orlando has the 4th best defense in the league.
They do struggle on the road, though.
Orlando has a better home record than Dallas. Orlando is 17 - 7. Dallas is 16-13.

It helps that we're still predominantly a one-on-one team or resort to it even in lulls. And yes I know a lot of the NBA is like that now. And we do get away with it because of our talent.

They're not going to guard Russ and he can't make them pay. We're going to see this over and over in the postseason.

Yep, which is fine as long as each guy is a threat but Lue is gonna have to have the hook on Russ when they choke out our offense. Kawhi and Harden have a guy hovering each time when Russ is in. They're playing him off the floor.

We just can't hang with the big teams. Counting on tons of 3s is not a strategy.

We just can't hang with the big teams. Counting on tons of 3s is not a strategy. Tonight, I don't think they counted on 3's.
They took 28 out of 84 field goal attempts, 33.3%.
They average 33.3 3-point attempts per game, 18th in the league.
They average 38.2% 3 point rate, which is 15th in the league.
So tonight was fewer than their average.
I am not sure what today's pace rate was, relative to the normal game the Clippers play.
