I have a bad feeling about LAC lapsing into .500 ball with the playoffs on the horizon.

Clips favored by 6.5. Can tie the Wolves in the loss column. Big game obvs.
Know it doesn't matter like it did in the past, but it would be cool and an accomplishment to win the Pacific Division. Hopin for the PD and at least the 2nd or 3rd seed. We'll see how this last month of the season goes.

This is an important game for sure.

Minny rested Gobert last game too so both teams trying to be fresh for this one. Where is this we might get pushed down to the play in coming from? Not happening.
At this point I doubt we'll get one of the top 2 seeds and I don't care too much whether we get 3 or 4. Ideally we're not 4 if Denver is 1, that's the team I'd want to delay meeting for as long as possible.
Phx is probably the least appealing for the first round as well. They're pretty much a top team when fully healthy. As much as NOP has our number in the reg season, I'd be ok with getting them first with OKC in the 1 seed.

According to Mistwell, we have no chance to win a championship as a 4 seed (unless he changed his mind on this), so we better shoot for 3 seed or above if we want any chance to win.

If it ultimately comes down to us facing them in the playoffs, home court will depend on point differential, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong.) They have won two games against us by a total of 25 points and we have won one against them by 1 point. So we need to beat them tonight by 25 points to be up on them. Good luck with that...

Nobody has done it in an exceptionally long time. Yes, I do want top 3 seed because of that.

I think it's based on division first? For any playoffs series, it's the usual rules. Better record; head to head; etc. ak-static-int.nba.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2017/06/NBA_Tiebreaker_Procedures.pdfIn 2011, I was rooting for the Bulls and Spurs to meet in the NBA Finals, because it would have come down to a coin flip. They had actually tied in having records across each other's opposite conference. www.sbnation.com/nba/2011/4/11/2103676/nba-playoffs-2011-bulls-spurs

The point differential only mattered for the in season tournament.
For the regular playoffs, it's overall record; head to head; whether one team is a division winner; overall conference record, etc.
Unless it's the NBA Finals, then use that Bulls vs. Spurs example link to see which criteria matter.

Point differential is the seventh tie breaker but I don't recall a tie breaker needing seven levels to make break a tie. But even then it's against all opponents.

Didn't know the San Diego Clippers are coming back next season as the Clippers G League team.

Minnesota is playing a lot more confident out there now that there is no sign of Kawhi who is apparently in the locker room. Yikes.
