That use of OKC regular season reasoning seems credible until presented with the counter that the Fakers got swept by Kings in regular season. Still a better risk for them to take the Kings at home vs having to play Denver. We see the results now. Possibly so but they likely would have been sitting at home watching Pels play Denver and Kings play Nuggs. Would’ve loved that…lol.

For a professional athlete, planning to lose is a bad policy in all circumstances.
Meanwhile, how about Embiid? Running (or jogging) essentially on one leg, diagnosed with Bell's palsy, puts up 50?

I actually know Lakers fans who think it is possible for them to win 4 in a row against Denver and take the series.
I don't know anyone who thinks they have been abducted and impregnated by intergalactic aliens, but that seems more plausible to me.

You'd have to be the ultimate Lebron Laker homer to bet them winning the series. Denver is just too strong, too polished. But, hey, could win four grand with a hundy bet if reading the line correctly.
Nuggets -20000 Lakers +4000
Meanwhile bookmakers have the Clipper/Mav series pretty tight going into tonight:
Clippers -142 Mavericks +116

Can't help but think how much Russ would've helped them in this series compared to who they're putting out there. I've seen 3-0 deficits where I've thought a team had a small chance to come back, but considering it's never been done I don't see how you think that has any chance of happening unless you know Jokic is getting hit with a baseball bat to his knees before game 4. It's a longshot no matter the team, but sure one of the best teams of this era is going to blow a 3-0 lead.

Lakers lose again. Well if they aren't going to push Denver then might as well have them lose in their 2nd consecutive sweep. They couldn't lose game 2. They'd have been a long shot even if they won game 2, but you're not going to outplay Denver consistently enough to take it after that. Lakers should've lost to New Orleans in the playin and then taken their chances to beat Sac and play OKC. They beat OKC 3 out of 4 times in the regular season. What a moronic move to play Denver and get swept. To what purpose? To lose in a later round to them? Or more likely lose in the play-in or to OK.

It's a bad matchup for them. Look at what is happening. Look at what happened last year. Everyone could see this coming. Lakers would have been favored at home against Sac and they beat OKC 3 out of 4 times in the regular season. They may have been favored in that series. No guarantee they would have faced Denver in a later round.

Lakes have lost ten straight to Denver. It would take a rocky mountain plane crash to win this series.

2 point game between Bucks and Pacers.
This is the earliest I've ever seen a weekday game start, which was 4:30 PM local time.
Every once in a while, I've seen a 5 PM start (Boston vs. Atlanta in 2008 had one such game).
But never 4:30.

They were not favored vs Sac, and Kings did put away the Warriors in that game that was played - another team you thought would win through the first round. They made the right call. Kings would have beat them. I think the problem here is Lakers are a bad team but you thought they were good. Here were your predictions: Playin teams: West:7th Lakers, 8th Warriors 1st Round Winners: West: GSW, LAC, DEN, LAL You picked them to go further, and Warriors, so you believed in them. I didn't. I said people were way over estimating that team. Your team is your record, and they were a bad team with a bad record. Same as last year. Same as the year before. It's all hype with the Lakers. They're not good. Without favorable treatment from refs they wouldn't have made the playoffs this season or last season.

Towns is having his best game of the series.
Love seeing Edwards guard Durant. He looks like a young Butler or George when he does that.

Phoenix Suns vs. Minnesota Timberwolves: Minnesota is too big. While both teams have older players, Kevin Durant is among one of several players who have struggled lately (Luka Doncic, De’Arron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton are a few others). Nurkic has never been able to be better than an average center. Minnesota in 5. Minnesota Timberwolves Minnesota Timberwolves Minnesota Timberwolves Phoenix Suns Minnesota Timberwolves Game 3 of this prediction will be the one to see if it happens. Looking good on this one, I still have a perfect series going.
