If the Lakers miss the playoffs with LeBron James on the roster, they have to be considered the mos disappointing team in NBA history.

Nah Lebron doesn't really care that much anymore, is on the decline, and the rest of the Lakers are mediocre players (although hyped as better). Not a second all star among them. It isn't that disappointing.

This is like the Nash/Howard season all over again for them, total disaster if they miss the playoffs. Lebron messed up, he should have picked the Clippers if he wanted to be in LA.

I like the Clippers’ future outlook better without him. Clippers are about the future, he’s mostly about the past, and to a limited extent about the now.

I don't think Lou Williams and Lebron could play together. Both of them want the offense run through them and dominate the ball. Of course if Lebron were playing as our starting SF right now we would be championship contenders since we do have the best bench in the NBA.
Lakers are not out of it yet. They played well last night. Bledsoe just took it away from them. Giannis could not do anything against their defense. Lakers have no center that they can rely on. Trading Zubac for Muscala was a bad mistake. He hasn't helped them at all and the lack of a big young center has really hurt them. Blame Magic and Pelinka for their current problems. Over reliance on aging vets like McGee and Chandler. I hope we can beat them Monday night. But I am none too confident.

Everyone (other than the Lakers hype machine) expected it to be a rebuilding year even with Lebron with a lower playoff seed. The Nash/Howard year had four all star level players (Kobe/Gasol/Nash/Howard) teaming up pre-season and people thought all of them would be competitive together. They didn't expect Nash to be a total injured dud and the rest to become dysfunctional.

Lakers are currently losing to the Suns in the 3rd, 72 to 85.
The SUNS!
If that holds...if they lose to the Suns, then I will be on board with the "stick a fork in them" wagon.
I don't think it will hold. But, in the immortal words of George Takei, "Oh My."
In other NBA news, Spurs are beating Thunder. Thunder are looking off lately. They could drop a couple ranks.
Nuggets Pelicans tied, Warriors 76ers tied, Bucks Jazz tied, damn there are a lot of close games being played right now.

Lakers Suns, 78 to 95 going into the 4th (Suns 95).
Bwahahahahahaha
Spurs beat Thunder. That's a shame.

Maybe things would be different for the Lakers if LeBron didn’t miss 16 games or if Lonzo didn’t miss so many games either but injuries happen. LeBron is 34 and Lonzo hasn’t proven he can play a full NBA season. There’s still time left and the Lakers can still go on a run to make the playoffs but putting up half your team on the trade block for 1 superstar is gonna disrupt team chemistry, especially since most of those players hasn’t experienced the NBA as a business yet. The Howard/Nash Lakers at least made the playoffs. The Lakers are at major risk of missing the playoffs with a player regarded as the GOAT by a lot of people.

MJ would make his. Kobe would make his. Shaq even made them “when it counts.” LeBron in the regular season vs the only team that’s mathematically out of the playoffs. Clunk, clunk. Any star that signs with the Lakers over the Clippers is a dumbass.

I can’t imagine a LeBron lead team to miss the playoffs. After blowing it to the only team mathematically out of the playoffs, putting playoffs and 18-19 Lakers and playoffs in the same sentence is beyond laughable.

With a healthy LeBrom on the court this season, I believe the Lakers are only 3 games above .500, which would put them in 9th seed currently.
