Clipper - 1.5. Rockets made 26 threes at Sacramento last night. They do that against us and we lose big. Kings lost big last night. Can't let them get comfortable behind the three point line. We must contest those shots and make them earn it. Beverley may be out tonight with a hip pointer. That is not good news. We need to try and win three of these last four games to stay in sixth place. Rockets are on a roll. Faried really helped last night with a double double so that is bad news for us. Before they were not getting anything meaningful from their backup bigs. Rockets are very determined to make up for last years near miss. We can beat them if we have a good game but their two hall of fame point guards against our two rookies is a terrible mismatch in their favor. And Harden has been the best player in the NBA for the last two years. So we can win tonight by bringing more energy than they do but it does not look good for the playoffs.

I bought a Premier seat to the Memphis game for $36. The same row seat to this Rockets game is $168. What a difference a contender makes.

HOU favored by 1 in most lines. That shows a lot of respect for this Clippers squad

Line was Clippers by 1.5 this morning. Now the Rockets are the favorite. Beverley must be out tonight or else bettors just don't like us to win this game.

Considering Rockets are our most likely matchup in the playoffs, Doc probably doesn’t want to expose his entire hand(even though Houston is probably all familiar with Bev). At this point, health is the key. Get into the playoffs fresh and healthy. Try to keep the 5th or 6th seed. Nuggets are coming back down to earth so 7th seed doesn’t sound too bad neither.

We can easily move down to 8th seed. Every game is important.

Winning is key at all costs right now. The West is way too tight to be fucking with the standings for "health". These are, essentially, playoff games right now. If we cannot be our best right now, we won't be our best in the playoffs.

I don't think anyone genuinely believes they know how the seeding will play out. It will come down to the final two games I believe. Right now, dropping a game could end in the worst possible result.

C’mon man. Four games left... you’ve got to go all out for the highest seed possible. We want to advance beyond the first round.

The importance of tonight’s game, other than the obvious fact that it’s likely that the Rockets may be the Clippers’ first round opponent:
The Clippers are in 6th place right now with 47 wins and 4 games remaining on their schedule as well as 4 games remaining on each of SA’s and OKC’s schedules, and if the Clippers fall to 8th place they would probably face the Warriors in the first round and almost certainly get eliminated.
The way they would fall out of 6th place would be if they win only one of their remaining 4 games — and they will indeed be favorite to win only the one game against the Lakers — and one or both of San Antonio and OKC win their remaining 4 games. San Antonio will be favorite to win 3 of their 4 games and only a slight underdog against Denver, so they could easily win all 4. OKC also could easily win all 4, depending on whether Milwaukee rests their starters on the last game of the season (probably will) and whether Houston decides to do the same on the next to last game of the season (less probable but quite possible.)
So the Clippers need to assume they will both win their remaining 4 games, and therefore must win 3 of their last 4 games to secure the 6th seed since both SA and OKC own the tie breaker against them — a tie with them at 49 games would not be sufficient. The Clippers must win the game against the Lakers as well as at least two of the games against Houston, GSW, and Utah.
Losing tonight’s game would definitely not bode well for the Clippers securing the 6th seed. This is very, very close to a must win.

Also keep in mind if the Rockets lose tonight then they are pushed closer to being the 4. If they win, they're closer to being the 3. Now look where our standing is: losing to them increases the odds we face them! If you want to face the Blazers, we need the Rockets to lose more games and us win more games...unless the Rockets can move into the 2 spot. Which doesn't seem likely to me.

Regardless of anything, a win tonight is obviously important.
