Why is Curry not in the regular 3 point shootout?
Lillard and Curry have only been in the same competition together once, in 2019. Joe Harris was the winner.

Markkanen made his last 9, but fell short of the 4 way tiebreaker, at 25 points.
The 4 way tiebreaker was at 26 points (Trae Young, Karl-Anthony Towns, Tyrese Haliburton, and Damian Lillard).
Congrats to Lillard for winning the Finals. I'm glad there's a back to back champion, whoever it would have been (in any year).
The 4 way first round tiebreaker was fun.

The three point contest was fun to watch. I agree.
I only wish Curry had also done that one, in addition to the one with Ionescu he did.
Not that I'd want to remove anyone else.
An ESPN writer also suggested that instead of doing a first round tiebreaker, they should have all just advanced to the Finals.
I'd agree with that.
OR, the tiebreaker used to be 1 minute (as in a full round). I'd rather have that be a tiebreaker.
In 2003, there was a tiebreaker in the Finals between Stojakovic and Wesley Person, as both scored 20.
Stojakovic started the tiebreaker and a buzzer incorrectly went off after 30 seconds. They let him start over.
The buzzer had gone off because the tiebreaker had been 30 seconds the year prior.
When Stojakovic restarted the tiebreaker, he ended up scoring 22 points, to win.
If the tiebreaker was a full round in 2024, like it used to be at one point, I think that would be more fair.

BOOOOORING! This was not a game, but rather a bunch of guys running up and down the court jacking up 3's. I lasted about 5-10 minutes. This entire thing is a waste of time.

I have never really enjoyed the All-Star game. Skipped it this year.

Has any player cared less about the all-star game?

If the NHL could figure it out, then the NBA ought to be able to.

The three point contest was fun to watch. Yes it was good but unfortunately I hung in for the dunk contest which was the worst I’ve seen. They tried hard to give it to the only really recognizable “star” but Jaylen Brown’s dunks were so boring that even the judges couldn’t continue on with the fix until the end. I didn’t bother with the game.
