For clipps: I heard a radio host say, a few weeks ago, that the Chargers are his pick to win the AFC and get to the SuperBowl. He says he can't think of a good reason to pick another team, right now. |

I'm trying so hard to not get too excited. Between the Clippers and Chargers, life as a sports fan has been absolutely brutal. Talent is there. I'm loving this defense. Just gotta keep everyone healthy. I think the Steelers are overrated and have no defense. If father time catches up to Tom Brady, the Patriots will just be a "good team". Jaguars look tough. I think the Titans and Texans will make big improvements as well. The Chargers cannot afford to start (or end) the season slow. Last year, the Chargers were 2 kicks and a dumb Tre Boston early interception celebration away from being 12-4. I try not to take preseason too serious, but when the 1's are in the Chargers look great, but when the 2's and 3's are in there, not so much so depth still might be an issue.

I think the Khalil Mack trade is a lose - lose for both teams.
The Raiders lose a good player.
And for the Bears, one player isn't worth that much, especially since the rules keep favoring the offense.

Amazing that five current QB starters played under Jeff Fisher: Jared Goff, Sam Bradford, Nick Foles, Case Keenum and Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Fisher was absolutely horrible at developing talent on the offensive side.

Or in Goff's case, after there was a coaching change. |
