Fortunately, the Chargers have done a great job closing games out since last season except for the damn Donko game. I like how they responded against AZ. Big game for the Bolts on Sunday night. I'm pumped. I think both teams match eachother very well. It's tough to play in Heinz field. It looks like Bosa is now at 100% which will be key. I don't care if Connor goes off. Get to Big Ben and force him into making mistakes.
How about them Chiefs. I always thought Kareem Hunt was a terrible kicker.

Chargers played a lousy first half and got killed. Then they put together about the finest 30 minutes of offensive football that I have ever seen them play in the second half to tie and then win the game. Props to Rivers, Allen, and King for making it all happen. Best game of the year in my opinion. First team to ever come from that far behind and win at Pittsburgh.

What a game. This game was the opportunity the Chargers had to prove what they're really made of and that's without Melvin Gordon. I will admit that the refs completely missed that false start on Tevi, but I'm sure Rivers would have found his way down the field anyway. Derwin James was all over the field as usual. I can't say enough about how much of a steal Derwin James was for the Chargers especially at a position of need. Rivers and Allen are lethal when they are on fire. King was amazing. I figured that Pitt's o-line was gonna give Bosa and Ingram trouble so I'm happy how the secondary played in the second half. Also a shout out to Justin Jackson for coming in and giving the Bolts some crucial first downs and that go ahead TD. I love Ekeler but he's just not a feature back. I'm interested to see how Justin Jackson does when Melvin Gordon comes back. Him, Melvin Gordon and Ekeler can form a dangerous RB committee. The final 3 kick attempts sure did give me a thousand heart attacks.

I’m happy we can laugh about it. That was definitely a Chargers way to end the game but in a positive way.

I liked the last kick the best. The guy was a mile offside on that play and jumped right in front of the ball before it was kicked. Then the kicker kicked it over him for the winning points. That was bizarre. Steelers best chance was the first kick when the guy missed left. And being offsides did not impact the kick. They stay onsides on that kick and it would have been overtime.

That was bizarre. Steelers best chance was the first kick when the guy missed left. And being offsides did not impact the kick. They stay onsides on that kick and it would have been overtime. I can't exactly remember where I read/heard it from, but apparently several Steelers players complained that the Chargers long snapper, Mike Windt, would make a small herky-jerky movement before snapping the ball, causing players to jump early. If that's true, than he is the absolute problem in our kicking situations. If players are jumping just early enough to not get called for an off-sides, then that means they have slight head start to block the FG/punt. And if they don't get the block, that just means the kicker has to rush himself to avoid getting blocked which would result in missed FGs/PAT's. It would make a lot of sense to me. The Chargers not only have been the worst kicking team in the NFL in the last several years but probably lead the league in getting kicks/punts blocked as well. Maybe Mike Windt is the problem? Maybe we need a new long snapper. Would it be crazy that either fixing Windt's mechanics or getting a new snapper is what completely fixes the Chargers kicking woes? Badgley has been awesome and other than that missed kick against the Broncos and early against the Steelers, he's been very reliable. But Caleb Sturgis's kicking percentage was over 80% with Philly. Younghoe Koo originally made the clutch game tying fieldgoal in Denver last year, but got iced. The second kick got blocked. That's not Koo's fault. That just happened to kill his confidence which lead to more missed kicks which resulted in that 0-4 start.

If kicks are missed they are always going to blame the kicker. Tough kicking in Pittsburgh with all the winds in that stadium. I don't know who to blame and it has been better than last year but they better fix it.

Chargers score twice in last five minutes of the game to steal one at Kansas City. Great game by Rivers to come back after the interceptions. Both Tyrell and Mike Williams had great games. I guess the Chargers at Pittsburg, the Chiefs at L.A. Rams, and the Chargers at Kansas City were the three best games this year. With honorable mention to the Patriots at Miami with the Dolphins getting that 75 yard touchdown with only nine seconds left on the clock to whip the perennial Super Bowl favorites and kick them out of the top seed. Just hope the Seahawks can beat the Chiefs at Seattle in 9 days so that the Chargers can win the division and be the top seed in the playoffs.

Mike Williams had one hell of a game... on my fantasy bench. Really happy to see a breakout performance. It’s. A strong possibility that Chiefs get beat in Seattle.

Over 70 posts on the NFL...and I can't get anyone (other than one other guy) to make any game threads, and few to post in them.
This board is going to die a slow death.
But...the NFL and MLB will get posts I am sure...

This just isn’t a boards full of football fans and that’s fine. I’m also a part time poster to begin with and I rather not talk to myself as well.
As for the Chargers/Ravens. Here’s the keys.
- Force Lamar Jackson to pass the ball. That means get up early on the Ravens. The Chargers can’t afford to wait until the second quarter to put points on the board.
- Minimize mistakes and penalties. The Bolts were on their way to a go ahead TD before Gates(of all people) fumbled the ball. The Chargers defense is prone to making costly mistakes, especially on 3rd downs.
- Philip Rivers. He needs lead the team to victory. He needs to get the Chargers going early and force Lamar Jackson to play catch up.
I do thin the Ravens are a scary team, but the Chargers have more talent across the board. 7 pro bowl selections. This game is a big test for Chargers HC, Anthony Lynn, who I’m a huge fan of.
