“The 2020 Sixers pick is lottery protected for 3 years. Becomes 2 second round picks (in 23 &24) if it doesn’t convey before then. The Miami first round pick in 21 is unprotected.“

I loved Tobias but we are obviously planning on using that 2019 cap space on a higher caliber player. Our sights are set higher. We can now either put together a considerably strong offer for Anthony Davis, or we can just sit tight with our 2 max slots and use those future picks as a selling point for potential A-list free agents. That Miami pick is especially valuable. I don’t think our front office really wanted to have to give Harris a max contract, and I can understand that, he is very good, but he isn’t a max player. Players want to play here, we were on the short list for both AD and KP.

Wow. That Miami pick could be something. Shamet has been pretty good.
If anything we have more assets to make an offer for AD.

We are incredibly thin at forward. I can't believe the mindset is to give up this season already, so I think this is just the front end of something more to come before Thursday. I don't know if we have the assets to work an AD trade. Does NO covet the picks more than players? Other than the picks, I don't think we can put together a package better than the Lakers offer without completely gutting the team.

I don't know how this trade works financially.

We can now offer 2-3 future firsts (one with potential to be high) + Shamet + SGA + Robinson + Gallo for AD, that offer is VERY STRONG.

Plus if we tank this season that makes our pick a better trade asset. This move was made to land AD.

well, unless there is something more to this .... it was a fun season until now. If we don’t trade for AD before THRS, this is still a good trade for us, missing the playoffs means we keep our pick and it opens up more playing time for SGA rest of the season. Even if we made the 8 seed, we would’ve gotten destroyed by the Warriors.

Would be so great to fuck the Lakers over twice, first with the CP trade and now with an AD trade.

Also, the Sixers may be able to give the Warriors a good run for their money in the finals, thats a very very good team they have now.

I love the Sixers team now. Ours is just too unknown right now to have any opinion. Hopes and prayers.

Wonder if Bradley is playing well enough of late for someone to want him. He shot 39% from 3 in January.
