Clippers have a 1% shot at making the playoffs when you change the settings to ELO... So you say there’s a chance. You misread it. Under ELO they have a 76% chance of making the playoffs. The 1% is the chance of making the Finals.

I just hope we can go 15 and 8 and get to 47 wins so that it will take a massive effort by one of the teams behind us to catch us. And if we win that many we could move up to the seventh or even sixth spot and not have to play the Warriors in the first round. I think the Kings, Lakers, and even the TWolves could get to 43 wins pretty easily. So we better plan on winning more than that.

Whether we make the playoffs or not, we only need 6 more wins to beat the vegas over on win total this season, we are gonna clobber that.

I changed my vote to 47 wins. The roster changes helped with our weaknesses we had. Zubac held with rim protection and rebounding and opens minutes for Motley. Shamet gives the Clippers perimeter shooting and scoring when Lou is sitting. Tobi was obviously the biggest loss but I think collectively, the rest our new players can make up for his production.

The official prediction by the Clippers posted in the paper today is they think 46 wins will make the playoffs. How many we win isn't the issue. It is how many will the teams behind us win. Lebron is saying he is going into beast mode early this year to make a playoff push. So who knows what will happen with the Lakers.

I hate to hop on the Skip train but LeBron really made his teammates look bad. I really don't think it was LeBron's intent to throw his teammates under the bus but it sounded like he's saying his team is trash and he has to go in 'SuperBron' mode earlier than he wanted to. Barely a week after the FO put half the team on the trade block. Lakers have no choice but to do that. I can't think of one star willing to be Bron's sidekick. What a dumpster fire the Lakers have become.

Wow. Rockets are really trying to give it away. I really need to quit talking shit. It rarely ends well for me. Rockets are pretenders anyway.

Lakers beat the Rockets. That isn't good. Especially since the Rockets were totally healthy for a change. Kings also gave the Warriors a hell of a fight at Oracle and look primed to make a big playoff push. So two teams behind us are going to fight like hell to catch us for a playoff spot. Must win every game we can going forward.

We need to take care of the Grizz tonight. Who do we want to win OKC vs Jazz? Honestly with how brutal OKC's schedule looks, it's not out of the question that they could drop hard in the next couple of weeks. But given we are tied with Jazz for wins, I guess I'd rather OKC win tonight. It'd be nice if the Raptors beat the Spurs too. We are tied in head to heads with Spurs, and if we win tonight and they lose tonight we'd be tied in record, which would put it to division winner (right now neither team is a division winner but Spurs could take their division if Rockets start to lose). If it goes past division winner, then it goes to conference record as we're not in the same division, which gets complicated. Spurs are 24-19 in conference. Clippers are 20-18. Which is not great odds but it's not terrible as we have a fair number of in-conference games that are winnable coming up. So if we win tonight, and they lose, we're still not immediately taking their 7th seed spot in the playoffs I think (they'd be 24-20, we'd be 21-18) but I am not sure if it goes on losses or wins for that determination. If it goes on losses, then we'd be 7th seed in that scenario. Bottom line, we need to try to win, and we need to hope Spurs lose

Bottom line is we need to assume that we have to win every game and play like it and let the chips fall where they fall. We do have the Knicks and Cavs twice each which should allow us some easy games so we can gear up more for the tough games. Zubac and whoever plays small forward in the starting lineup is going to be key for us. And of course, Gallo needs to stay healthy the last 23 games.

Every game is important. Despite being a dumpster fire, I can’t imagine LeBron letting his team miss the playoffs.
