I didn’t include the Spurs and Jazz because well most likely not play them.

Got to go Rockets. Rockets, Blazers, Thunder are about even but it’d be sweet to take Rockers out.

I voted Rockets because of CP and to avenge our 2015 meltdown.

Rockets, Nuggets, Thunder, Warriors, and Blazers is my order from who I want the most to least.
Rockets: obvious reasons Nuggets: I’m a Denver resident. Between the Chargers and Broncos, I have a competitive love/hate relationship with Denver fans. I’m a very well known Clippers fan in the neighborhood I currently live in and a heated series would be a fun 2 weeks. Won’t be an easy series at all. If I didn’t live in Denver, they’d probably be at the bottom of this list. Thunder: I find the Thunder overrated and Westbrook and PG are easily rattled(by us as well). Warriors: They do look a bit off, but they are still the Warriors and are the team to beat still. I think we can scare them. Imagine beating them the low possibility of beating them? The last Western Conference team to beat the Warriors were the Clippers. Imagine putting an end to their dynasty and maybe even taking the torch. Trailblazers: won’t be a terrible series. Just not as good as a series against the teams I listed above.
Odds are low, but I think the Clippers are CAPABLE. I think they can beat anyone in the 1st round.

Sometimes the torch thing is premature. The Clippers appeared to take the torch from the Spurs in 2015. The Spurs them came back and won 67 games the next year. The Thunder appeared to take the torch from the # 1 seed the Spurs in 2012. The Spurs then made the next 2 Finals, beating the Thunder along the way one of those years. The Indiana Colts appeared to take to torch when they beat Denver in the 2015 playoffs. The Broncos came back the next year and won the SuperBowl, while Indiana has had a series of rotten eggs in playoffs losses since then. Until the Warriors have multiple surprising exits several years in a row, the torch isn't taken from them. I'll pick the Thunder because it would be the most fun to watch. Even though the Jazz wouldn't be a first round matchup, that would be my next pick.

I believe the Clippers are still the last western conference team to beat the Warriors in a series.

I am picking the Rockets too. I like the idea of Beverley trying to contain Harden and taking our chances with the other players on their team. And CP3 vs. Shai is pretty interesting matchup. And the whole CP3's old team vs. his new team is interesting. Plus, I think we could actually be competitive with them. Warriors and Nuggets are both bad matchups for us. Too much outside shooting and too much defense. Thunder are a bad matchup because Westbrook just kills us with his aggression. Blazers will drop in the standings without McCollum so playing them probably is not an option. So get sixth place and get the Rockets in the first round sounds good to me.

You have to take it and that’s what Jerry, Ballmer and Frank are currently working on.

Might as well add the Spurs to the list. I think they are the last team I’d want to face in the 1st round.
