Looks like rumors of Blazers and or Knicks trading for George is quiet now. I still think we going to move Morris Sr to Rockets or Pistons. I don’t expect Westbrook to stay. So we need to go find a PG again. Back to square 1. Plus not knowing when Kawhi will be back. Frank can say all he wants that Kawhi will be ready for training camp, but we talking about Kawhi here. It’s when he feels ready to start to get in shape. I say he will start training like October and hopefully be ready to come back by December 25. Kawhi should be back at the beginning of the season. They'll have a PG one way or another.

v-ice being pessimistic about Kawhi's health is fair at this point. Sure he SHOULD be back fast, but we've been burned so many times...

Or is that still not allowed? It's allowed for everyone, except you. Because you asked, implying I have some power over what you say and do here. OK, I accept. You, and only you, are not allowed to state your mind here. For you, and only you, you're not permitted to be pessimistic about Paul George's health.

Kawhi like most NBA players have an off season routine in the summer prior to training camp. He won’t be able to do that while he recovers. Tis the reason I feel he won’t be back for training camp. I sure hope he does return in time to be ready:shape for regular season game 1.

I think what we're seeing is that Paul George's value is a lot less than we thought. The prospect of Paul George for the #3 pick and Anfernee Simons was viewed as 'ok' to 'I'd take that' on this board. We're not getting the $3 pick and filler for Paul George, no less #3 and Simons.
If it were me, I'd let it be known that Paul George is being traded by end of business Friday - so get your bids in - that might drive up the price a bit. But what we're doing now isn't working.

But what we're doing now isn't working. and how do you know who exactly we have been talking to? How do you know exactly what is and what is not working? Do you personally know what the Clippers end game is for going into next season? There has been very little movement in general so far ... even during the draft. As always, you approach anything PG related from the negative aspect of things. Btw, I am not for Scoot/Simons trade in and of itself. While Scoot has potential to be very good, Simons does absolutely nothing for me. Lets just wait a couple more weeks and see how things shake out before you start RE-bashing on PG and anything PG related. Bottom line, NO ONE has any real idea about what exactly the Clips are trying to do .... willing to do ... and/or feel they must do. - moving into a new arena, they will not want a "re-building" team that might be losing for a couple of years. They will want to sell tickets from the get go.
- do they feel that with health LUCK, they can basically run it back and change up things around the edges? Kind of a risk with this, especially considering the general negative taste in our mouth Clipper fans had after this horrible last season ... not only the injuries, but the poor management, poor coaching, giving away games during the season, lack of effort and lack of desire to win each and every game, etc etc.
- do they feel that it is a better long term play to move PG now, not only for chemistry, but long term "cap" issues and flexibility. I can't see them resigning him for a long term MAX contract with all of the injuries (maybe same for KL too idk)
- they need to address the point guard and back up center positions too. We can't go into next season with a Moses Brown as our backup C and a washed up John Wall as our PG.
Anyway, I know its hard. We are all anxious and put our own GM hat on .... me too, but just CHILL and lets see what shakes out.

Anyway, I know its hard. We are all anxious and put our own GM hat on .... me too, but just CHILL and lets see what shakes out. I'll respond to your post but this is the last time I'm going to respond to this type of ridiculous post. First, Yes, correct, I do not work in the front office. I do not 'know' what's going to happen. That applies to virtually every post on this board, including yours in several places, so there's no need to say it to me. It goes without saying. Second, I've been watching basketball and reading basketball websites and rumors for years. And I think I make pretty good deductions. If you don't like my deductions, which I share on this board, that's fine. But keep it to yourself and don't insult me if you're not interested in discussing the point I made. Third, we've all been 'chilling' with Paul George for four seasons. Even the front office finally realizes it's time to dump him. Do I 'know' that because I don't work in the front office? No. But I'm pretty certain in reading between the tea leaves. If that somehow bothers you, that's your problem. Fourth, by and large, I do trust our front office, although I think they've made some real misses.

TBH Only player I’d like to trade George for would be LaVine.

Even for whatever reason we didn't want to keep Scoot bc the fit wasn't right, I'm almost positive he could be flipped for something better at the deadline. I also don't see why Simons is worthless, he's basically the same age as our rookies and has had some really solid moments. I'm not in desperation mode to blow this team up, but if something good comes along I would def shake things up.
